CERTIFICATION OF BIOLOGICAL SAFETY CABINS
Analysis and certification of biological safety cabinets and chemical fume hoods
When a biological safety cabinet is well maintained and operated, it provides maximum protection for the operator and the environment. Having a biological safety cabinet certified at least once a year is the most important factor in ensuring that it is functioning properly and therefore protecting samples, operator and environment.
Certification for a biological safety cabinet involves a series of hood performance analyses, according to the manufacturer’s specifications and following the recommendations of NSF-49, the internationally recognized standard for certifying biological safety cabinets. All of our technicians are trained and certified by the NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) and regularly follow refresher courses to upgrade their expertise.
